Amy Warden's Butterfly Swirl Challenge
This is French Lavender essential oil from Wellington.
The butterfly swirl is difficult to do. While we needed about seven batches of soap, there was a lot of practice time. My family thought I was losing my mind as I kept going through the swirl motions in my mind and practiced the motions without the hanger in mid air. I used the new tall silicone mold from Brambleberry (so cool). The colors come from Mad Oils.
This should be a bubbly bar as it contains Avocado, Babassu, Castor, Coconut, Palm, Shea Butter, Olive, Rice Bran and Palm Kernel Oil.
This was definitely fun to make, soapy times are always a blast. Thank you Amy for choosing this challenge, it lived up to it's name. The soaps that do not look like a butterfly still look as gorgeous as ever.
First of all - congrats on your new blog!! Your soap is so pretty - it's definitely a butterfly! Love the pastel colors - I'm so ready for Spring!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Amy. Being from Missoui, I too am ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteSoft and gentle. And you are not alone practicing outside of the soap....
ReplyDeleteThanks Cris, glad I am not alone 'outside the soap' :)
ReplyDeleteMmmmm French Lavender with beautiful swirls. Very nice soap.
ReplyDeleteThank you Katrina
DeleteI practiced over and over in the air too, but no one was around! Lol! Great job and a very pretty spring soap.
ReplyDeleteThank you Janie, I was practicing in my sleep, I think I still need more practice though. :)
